Hall Writes Blog Again, Hollywood Scrambles for Rights

Shreveport, LA - Well, I'm not sure where to start. The last time I tried to "blog" was way back when I was still working on a gem of a production called Feast II and III, two movies that you will probably never see unless you live in Estonia or Eastern Europe. But my life has grown steadily more interesting since then. The following is a brief rundown of some of my adventures.

- I drove a U-Haul truck and trailer to Los Angeles before Christmas. (No I wasn't moving.) It was only 1200 miles but man was the scenery amazing, although slightly redundant.
- I worked as a cast driver on the film The Year One here in Shreveport. Among folks I had the honor of driving: Paul Rudd, David Cross, Judd Apatow, June Diane Rafael, Juno Temple, Hank Azaria, Matt Willig, Vinnie Jones, Kyle Gass, and a whole host of other folks. They were all fun and very nice people.
-Got to see my best friend Jonathan actually go on a date with Stifler's Mom (really, really)
- I spent a month in New Mexico with this film crew. We filmed mostly in places I like to call a "desert," which in New Mexico is basically anywhere between Texas and Arizona.
- My old dog Girl got shot, but miraculously survived and is doing fine.
- I recorded a five song EP that is in the process of being duplicated into 1,000 copies or so so I can throw them like frisbees.

Were I a disciplined man, I would blog every day but alas that seems to go out the window when I am working. I am back in Shreveport now and resume my Saturday night routine of trying to satisfy half drunk people shouting indiscernable song titles at me and then forgetting to tip me when I actually do guess what song they want in the first place. (Sigh.)

As a fun side note, it looks like here in about four days I am going to spend the day in Waring again, a place some of you know quite well and hold very dear. It will be good to get back there and sit on the front steps of the General Store and shoot the breeze with Ed. As a side note to my side note, yet again this year I utilized the Back Door Bar and Grill Tax Service for all my tax purposes and will be receiving a whopping $1000 return. Good work, Ed! I couldn't remember his PO Box so I gave the town a good laugh when I simply addressed the envelope to: Ed, Waring, TX 78074.

And he got it...

But that's why I do and always will love Waring. If only they would film movies there...

That's the story of my life...
